A really nice video about darker times in the history of mankind.
Times that tries really hard to stay forgotten.

Take a dark journey into the forgotten, where time stands still. The paint has peeled off the walls and the only occupants are the souls of those left behind.

This is the Asylum.

Opened in the early 1920s, the Asylum closed down and was abandoned decades ago. Rooms remain untouched – left as they were when the last of the employees departed. These buildings stand as a testament to the horrors and miss treatment that patients had to endure during the time of its operation.

Sintel is Blender foundation’s third open movie project after Elephants Dream and Big Buck Bunny (shown below).

“Sintel” is an independently produced short film, initiated by the Blender Foundation as a means to further improve and validate the free/open source 3D creation suite Blender. With initial funding provided by 1000s of donations via the internet community, it has again proven to be a viable development model for both open 3D technology as for independent animation film.
This 15 minute film has been realized in the studio of the Amsterdam Blender Institute, by an international team of artists and developers. In addition to that, several crucial technical and creative targets have been realized online, by developers and artists and teams all over the world.

Came across this post on bumbumbum.me today, and I had to post it on shiiit aswell.
No Flesh Guaranteed was originally put online in 1997. Since then it has expanded into three different sections as different types of works. All images were originally taken from free web sites that, regularly featured explicit photographs of sexuality.

All the three sites were taken off-line in 2004 due to bandwidth issues. At one point within two days there was over 1.8 million visitors, visiting the site. This crashed the server and left a rather large bill to pay. The mass visits occurred because many links to No Flesh Guaranteed came from various blogs and web sites that showed pron. And even though it feels good to have many passing visitors to the net art work from people who would normally not see such work. The downside is that many visitors were those who wanted to just see raw acts of sexuality, rather than art. More about “No Flesh Guaranteed”.

“No Flesh Guaranteed” was made by Marc Garrett who is currently co-director and co-founder of furtherfield.org along with artist Ruth Catlow.

Nokta . by Onur Senturk is definitely one of the best 3D animation videos ivé seen out there wich deals with liquid in a way that just blows your mind right out the window. It´s a must see but allso it´s “a must hear” since the audio is equal as superb as the visual parts.

Nokta (Dot) is an abstract film project which is an improvisation of organic pieces while considering themes like power, chance and luck. I also wanted a perspective that can be subjectified by viewers.
